SHELL COLOURS

Light-coloured shells are engineered to reflect solar radiation more efficiently, significantly reducing heat absorption and helping to maintain a cooler and more pleasant environment inside the tent—even under direct sunlight.

White shell is the most effective in this regard.

Grey shells, such as metallic coloured, used in the past, although they have reflective properties, do not reach, in absolute terms, the effectiveness of white shells in repelling heat.

Black shell is considered trendy and aesthetically integrates well with the vehicle but tends to absorb more heat.

The Hard Face shell, the most recent addition, with its rough surface and dusty appearance, represents the ultimate long-lasting colour: it does not fade, does not yellow, and unlike white, black, grey, or metallic finishes, it does not require special care, polishing, or maintenance. Moreover, it is also scratch-resistant.

IMPORTANT

Materials and insulation

• In addition to colour, it is essential to consider the material.

• Fiberglass stands out for its high thermal insulation capacity, which is significantly superior to that of rigid plastic materials such as ABS, especially in imported versions.

• When using fiberglass, the choice of colour becomes less relevant, although slight differences may still exist.

FABRIC COLOURS

Since most of the fabrics used are of the Total Black type, it is important to highlight the differences between the various available colours.

BLACK / BLUE – Maximum Blackout

The black fabric provides maximum blackouts, ideal for shielding against night-time lights or the first light of dawn.

GREY – Cool Environment

Less darkening than black, but with the advantage of absorbing less heat.
It is the most commonly used shade in the caravan and camper sector.

CARBON – A Subtle and Functional Look

Carbon fabric represents an intermediate choice between black and light grey. Elegant and functional, it ensures a less stain-prone appearance.

GREEN / OLIVE – Natural and Relaxing

This is the ultimate outdoor colour: relaxing and versatile, it blends perfectly into any environment. Compared to grey, it offers greater blackout performance.

SILVER / GREY – Cold Environments

Although reflective, silver fabric tends to retain heat.
It is ideal for making the interior of the tent more comfortable when external temperatures are low (such as when using the optional winter hood accessory).

BROWN – Versatile Style

The warm colour of the earth. Versatile and easy to match with any vehicle colour.

YELLOW

Used on Air-Camping mosquito nets. Recent studies have shown that, contrary to expectations, it effectively repels mosquitoes.

SAFARI – Desert Environments

It is the colour of the desert, typical of Saharan expeditions.
It reflects heat but has the disadvantage of offering limited blackout.

BORDEAUX – Refinement

An original, refined, and classy colour. Previously used by Autohome® for the side panels of Overland models, it adds a touch of distinctive elegance.

IMPORTANT

Material and Comfort

Comfort depends more on the breathability of the fabric and its ability to expel heat and vapour than on colour.

• Fabrics with a high-water column rating, often made from cheaper plastic materials, are less suitable for outdoor use due to their limited breathability.

• Breathable and waterproof fabrics provide better interior comfort, preventing the formation of condensation and maintaining a dry environment.

• The polyester mosquito net, as found in the 360 models, offers greater insulation and protection without compromising the breathability of the fabric or its heat-dispersing capabilities.
